I’ve often wondered why people
Eat animals as dishes,
Ranging from mammals
To Amphibians and Fishes?
If it is called cruel,
For slaves to be beaten
Then it is far more spiteful
For a living being to be eaten!
If it is wicked to torture humans,
And leave them in despair,
To hang and kill in slaughter – houses,
Does not seem too fair.
Or think, do think, of the million
Animals, who everyday
In slaughter – houses are slaughtered by
Cruel men who seem quite gay?
Or what is it to the foolish man,
Who only kills and slashes
For money to fill his tummy,
He deposits a hundred gashes?
Not that it is healthy or nutritiously wealthy
To have a non-vegetarian diet,
In fact, a vegetarian meal is healthier,
And keeps diseases quiet.
And now, I do not see any reason
To continue non-vegetarianism.
For it is better, in every possible way,
To promote vegetarianism.
And if buying stops,
The killing will too.
Think, my friends, how it would feel,
If a giant gobbled up you?
