Thousands of kids all over the planet are joining PETA’s army of animal advocates – and here is where we shine the spotlight on their hard work. We know you do it because you care about animals, but it is OK to brag a little about the ways you are making the world a better place for our animal friends. Tell us how you help animals, and you could be our featured “Superstar Kid of the Month”!
Samyukta Singh, hailing from the city of Mumbai and a student at Billabong High School, Malad, is PETA’s Superstar Kid of the Month. Samyukta has loved animals since she was a baby. Her family has a farm in Uttar Pradesh, where she wants to start a shelter for animals.
Samyukta has seen people beating up and kicking animals “for fun”, and after witnessing this cruelty, she decided that she wanted to do something to help animals. Along with her friends, Samyukta formed a group called “Animal Kingdom”. They designed their own badges and collected donations that were used to help animals in their area. They then organised a jumble sale, which was a super success! The money they collected was donated to PETA India to help in the fight against animal abuse.
Samyukta is truly a superstar for her animal friends! Now, how about you? Are you a superstar for animals? Do you know someone who is? We want to know!
